Duplicate Content

What is Duplicate Content?

Basically duplicate content means that your website pages have been duplicated once, twice or even up to three or four times. This has a dramatic negative effect on your website resulting in penalty points which affect your ranking.

Duplicate content is a major issue with all search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo!

Why do I have duplicate content?

In simple terms when your website is built there is certain coding that is required for maximum performance on search engines. This coding is a complicated mathematical algorithm but with some very simple tweaks the negative effects can easily be rectified. Most web designers are not experts in website diagnostics…..WE ARE!!

What are the advantages of removing the duplicate content?

  • No penalty points against your website
  • Improve your performance on the main search engines
  • Potentially higher page ranking
  • Get ahead of your competitors
  • 100% Money back guarantee!

How much does this cost?

We will allow you to check if your site is showing duplicate content completely free of charge, however we charge £29.99 for the full report on which aspects need to be fixed and instructions on how to fix these problems.

We offer a full 100% Money Back Guarantee if our advice is incorrect or we do not improve the way your site is viewed by the major search engines.

What do we check for?

www/non-www header Check
This check will determine if your website designer has implemented the essential 301 redirect from http with or without the www. We have found that around 80% of website designers do not implement this when they create a website and Web Developers around 50% [yes I know statistics are made up on the spot and these were but thereabouts this is true.] It is simple coding which Google and other search engines require for your website to perform at its optimum.

Google Cache Check
This is a crucial element of your websites foundation which Google (and other search engines) will check on a regular basis, to confirm that it is correct.

Similarity Check
This check will determine if there are any similar structured pages on other (competitor) websites, i.e. if someone has copied and pasted your content in to their site or vice versa. It will check the first 1000 pages of your site for similarities.

Default Page Check
We will check if your default page has been created in the correct format. Search engines require you to create an index page and link this page to the rest of the pages on your website.

404 Check
This check is performed to ensure that a 404 error is returned for pages that do not exist.

PageRank Dispertion Check
We will simply tell you if your PageRank for www and non-www is correct or incorrect.
