CAFOD | Catholic Agency For Overseas Development

SEO Web Marketing have been providing Pro Bono services to CAFOD since January 2005 and is a charitable organisation working for a cause that is held very close to our hearts. As part of our commitment and support to this very worth cause, we have provided help with search engine optimisation, Google mathematics and website diagnostics for their website. Our work has included important checks and reports on the CAFOD website’s performance in-line with Google’s requirements to ensure that their site performs well on the search engine.

The Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD) is the official Catholic aid agency for England and Wales and is an international aid agency working to help alleviate poverty and suffering in developing countries. Founded in 1962, CAFOD aims to promote long term development, respond to emergencies, raise public awareness of the causes of poverty, speak out on behalf of poor communities and promote social justice in witness to Christian faith and gospel values.

CAFOD works with partners across the world, wherever the need is greatest to help bring hope, compassion and solidarity to poor communities. They work with over 500 partners overseas, and with partners in the UK, to reduce poverty. They work to help people make a living for themselves, fund work with vulnerable communities before, during and after emergencies happen, campaign and provide advocacy services challenging those with power to adopt policies that promote justice and end poverty, and work with the Catholic Church of England and Wales to raise awareness and inspire commitment to end justice and poverty in developing countries.

CAFOD’s work focuses on deprived communities across Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America and is funded by the Catholic community in England and Wales, the British Government and by generous donations received by the public. Short term aid is also provided to help with aid to disaster stricken countries, setting up temporary shelter for those left homeless and giving sufficient amounts of food and water to those who need it.
